Excerpt from the brief: The competition is an open one stage ideas competition for a group of sites and urban spaces on Kyrl’s Quay in Cork. The competition site will provide the catalyst for the renewal of a wider area in the Cornmarket Street / Historic Centre areas of the City Centre. The main aims of the competition are to: Identify creative options for the redevelopment of this group of sites fronting onto the River Lee; To promote high quality urban design and architecture in Cork City.
