Dunne asks for tall buildings in Ballsbridge

Sean Dunne’s Mountbrook Group has asked Dublin City Council to include Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, in the list of areas where tall buildings are allowed. The developer’s submission to the council on its Maximising the City’s Potential document, which relates to building height and density, points out that the planner’s decision on the Jurys Berkeley Court (JBC) site in Ballsbridge said it was the planning authority’s strong view that ‘‘a landmark building of architectural excellence is required’’ at that location. The developer therefore said that the final strategy from the council should confirm that policy.
