A reminder that the transformation of Limerick city centre will not conclude with the opening of the Savoy complex in early 2007, came from the urban planners Nicholas De Jong this week, as the first official details of a comprehensive development strategy emerged. Currently before the City Council’s Transportation Strategic Policy Committee, the architects’ design study is also being distributed to all councillors to allow them pursue its recommendations before next Monday’s City Council meeting Earlier this week, Charles Board, architect with Nicholas De Jong, made a presentation in City Hall, outlining details of the development plan which will build on work achieved to-date to produce a city centre "that will be on a par with leading international cityscapes".
