The Medal is awarded to an architect or architectural practice for projects of exceptional merit completed within 1999/2000/2001. The term ‘Conservation’ is interpreted to include works where buildings of historic importance are refurbished and adapted for contemporary use. The term ‘Restoration’ is interpreted to include works where buildings of historic importance are restored as monuments.
Nominations made in these categories should be accompanied by appropriate drawn, photographic and written documentation to support the particular aspects of the project which demonstrate evidence of scholarship.
