Eyre Square to reopen tomorrow

The new-look Eyre Square will finally be opened to the public tomorrow following delays and controversy over the cost of the work. The revamp of the square was completed by construction company Siac, after the original contractors, Kingston Construction, pulled out of the unfinished project last year. A final figure for the overall cost has yet to be produced by the city council. Councillors estimate the figure at anything from €9 million to €11 million.
