Mansfield refused permission to build hangars at Kildare aerodrome

Property developer Jim Mansfield has been refused planning permission to turn farm buildings at his Weston Aerodrome into aircraft hangars. An Bord Pleanála also refused Mansfield permission to retain an extension of the farm buildings. The planning board found the development would be "unacceptable in terms of the orderly development" of the aerodrome because it would intensify the use of it "in a piecemeal way".
