DiverseCity Dublin open

DiverseCity Dublin the architectural exhibition promoting women and ethnic minorities in architecture was launched at the RIAI Architecture Centre at 8 Merrion Square Dublin 2 on Tuesday 16th Nov. The exhibition continues until 21st Jan 2005.

The Chair of Women In Architecture Angela Brady launched the exhibition with DiverseCity Dublin co-ordinator Antoinette O'Neill of the Arts Council, and RIAI President Tony Reddy.

Dublin is the tenth City in this Global Snowball exhibition which was created by Architects For Change, the Equality forum at the RIBA. It was originally launched in London in Sept 2003, and since then has traveled to Luxembourg, Sydney, Auckland, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Beijing, and Zhengzhou in China.

DiverseCity promotes diversity of people in architecture. Each City adds 10 panels to the exhibition on what diversity means to them. It will then travel to ten Cites in 2005 starting with Athens and also around the schools of architecture in Britain.
