Heuston, we have a project

The Irish Independent

Ireland's tallest building is to be constructed beside Dublin's Heuston Station as part of a major new complex which will also feature a state-of-the-art interactive science museum for children. A planning application for the €120m scheme known as Heuston Gate is to be submitted to Dublin City Council next week, after the Office of Public Works unveiled plans for the ambitious urban renewal project yesterday. The development is on a 4.5-acre state-owned site between Heuston Station and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and will contain a 32-storey building with 197 apartments - one in five of which will be for social and affordable housing. This 'Tall Building' topped by a public viewing gallery, will be 117 metres high, marginally shorter than the Spire but taller than any existing office or residential building in the State.
