Historic Dublin building undergoes laser treatment
Pioneering new laser technology has been used to restore one of Dublin's most historic buildings to its former glory. The Alliance Francaise Building at 1 Kildare St, Dublin 2 was designed in 1860 by the former Cork architectural practice of Thomas Deane and Benjamin Woodward, designers of the Museum building in Trinity College and the Oxford Museum. As with so much of the work of the practice, the building was heavily influenced by the writings of Ruskin and inspired by the architecture of Venice.
