ESB has disposed of a historic site near the Poolbeg Power Station at Ringsend to Dublin City Council. The property is the site of the former coal-fired Pigeon House power station and the Pigeon House Hotel. It is located on a site near the present Poolbeg power station, the largest electricity generation site in Ireland. Both the former power station and the former hotel building are listed buildings and cannot be demolished or materially altered in any way.
