Revamp at Royal Dublin
The owner of the Royal Dublin hotel has got permission for a complete revamp and extension of its premises at numbers 40 and 41 Upper O'Connell Street - despite an objection by An Taisce regarding its proximity to a Georgian protected structure at 42 O'Connell Street. The hotel, purpose-built in the 1960s, will get a brand new modern façade, which has been welcomed by the planners in Dublin City Council.
