Major city centre expansion and a new office quarter linked to docklands were among key objectives set out in a development plan published yesterday. The development of the commercial core of Cork City and an office sector linking it to the Docklands were set out in the Draft Development Plan 2003 from Cork City Council. The regeneration of the city centre and protection of its position as the primary shopping centre in the Munster region are prioritised within the plan.
