Rail blueprint plans to link key stations underground
A €1bn cross-city underground rail link between two of Dublin's principal stations is planned in the Government's review of rail services, it was learnt yesterday. The "rail interconnector", which would link Heuston and Connolly stations, will be the next significant project after Dublin Port Tunnel, Luas and the planned metro line to Dublin Airport, according to the blueprint for the future of the country's rail lines.
