Moves afoot to name world's tallest sculpture after a king who fought to save the city The Spire of Dublin, is up and swaying in the wind, on the site of Nelson's Pillar which was blown up 37 years ago. Already a debate has begun about the official title for the new landmark monument which is set to dominate the city's skyline for centuries to come. The City Council is officially calling the impressive structure "The Spire of Dublin".
