Architectural diversity must characterise Spencer Dock, Dublin's newest urban quarter, which covers twice the area of Temple Bar. But without diversity, it could be grimsville. There has been much media hype about "the New Dublin" since Treasury Holdings began marketing the first tranche of some 3,000 apartments proposed for Spencer Dock; that full-scale mock-up of what one of the stylish interiors would look like was a particulary crafty piece of salesmanship.
