Mr. Martin Cullen, T.D., Minister for the Environment and Local Government has launched the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage series of publications at the Custom House, Dublin. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage represents a systematic survey of Ireland's post-1700 built heritage, to assist planning authorities in protecting it and to help form the basis of future conservation policy. Surveys are being carried out by Duchas, the Heritage Service of the Department of the Environment and Local Government.
