Dublin building takes top award

The Saint Francis Hospice daycare & education centre in Dublin 5, designed by Burke-Kennedy Doyle Architects and S3-Silicon & Software Systems in Dublin 18 (FKL Architects) were joint winners of the top prize in the latest PlanExpo Opus Building of the Year awards. Mount Saint Anne's in Dublin 6 (O'Mahoney Pike Architects) was awarded first prize in the housing category, while a house at Castlequarter in Co Limerick (designed by Healy & Partners) won the top award in the €375,000 category. The winners of the 2002 awards were announced by Environment Minister Martin Cullen.
