Architects forging overseas links

The Irish Times

Irish architecture firms have been running at full capacity in recent years. However, the drop-off in the number of foreign direct investment projects combined with evidence of growing overcapacity in the office sector is giving some senior partners pause for thought. During the 1980s, Irish architects staged their own Flight of the Earls and a number of firms also set up shop overseas. Are we witnessing a repeat of this phenomenon - albeit in modified form?
