Dublin wins in Milan
Dublin-based Grafton Architects have won an a competition for a major new building complex at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. Ten European architectural practices were invited to participate in the competition. But the Irish design practice emerged top of the list. The competition brief specified conference and lecture facilities for 2500 people including an "aula magna" for 1000 persons together with research offices for professions and postgraduates to accommodate a further 1000.
