Arts Council commemorates perfectionist colleague

The Irish Times

The Arts Council has inaugurated an award scheme to commemorate the late Kevin Kieran, who had briefly served as its architecture consultant before he died tragically early, at the age of 45, on Christmas Eve, 1999. The aim of the biennial award, worth €50,000, is to support the artistic formation and career development of an emerging and gifted architectural graduate to travel, work and ultimately be contracted to design a building for the Office of Public Works.
