Planning permission was finally granted yesterday for a Euro12.7m visitors' centre at the world renowned Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare, ten years after the plans were first announced. Clare County Council - which is also the promoter of the project - made the decision in face of strong opposition from An Taisce and Shannon Development, the council's former partners in the project.
