The Cabinet is to make a decision before Christmas on the future of the controversial Campus Ireland project. But Sports Minister Dr Jim McDaid declared last night that the Government remains fully committed to building Stadium Ireland. And there is a widespread expectation in political circles that they will decide to go ahead with a scaled-down plan which would include a 65,000-seater National Stadium.
