Historic Dublin fort is target for renewal

The Sunday Times

A historic fort in Dublin's Phoenix Park, once used by the Irish army to store ammunition, is to be transformed into a significant cultural centre. The restoration of the Magazine Fort, built in 1732, is part of a new management plan for Phoenix Park, the largest urban estate in Europe, including the renovation of Chesterfield Avenue, its main thoroughfare.
