The Newpark Hotel Kilkenny has undergone a Ł2.2 million transformation to its restaurant and ballroom as part of a phased development by architects and interior designers John Duffy Design Group. An impressive eight metre high glass hall is framed by a pergola walkway as the new entrance to the conference centre. Glass and steel is offset by the old stone which dons the outside of the building, punctuated by sweeping swathes of warm Iroko timber.
