The Abbey Theatre is to remain on Dublin's northside for the foreseeable future at its current location or at a new location in the north inner city. The Irish Independent has learned that Arts and Heritage Minister Sile de Valera has decided that the Abbey should remain in the Dublin 1 area, which covers the north inner city and should not move south of the River Liffey.
