U2 fight bid to knock down recording studios

The Irish Independent

U2 and millionaire businessman Harry Crosbie are lodging objections with An Bord Pleanala to a compulsory purchase order (CPO) which would result in the demolition of their recording studios and warehouse buildings on Dublin's docklands. Mr Crosbie said yesterday that the move was to prevent "cultural vandalism" of the buildings at Hanover Quay where U2 recorded three of their albums.
