Building by 'unqualified designers must be stopped'

A cemetary and crematorium, a former industrial school and the former headquarters of well-known businessman Denis O'Brien were among 29 projects to collect a top architectural award yesterday. Projects chosen were the largest ever featured in the 12-year history of the awards. Newlands Cross Cemetery project designed the temple, the meeting ring and the administration building in three interlocking pavilions surrounded by gardens for Dublin Cemeteries Committee and cost £200,000.
