The signs they are a-changing property
In an effort to improve further the appearance of the capital, Dublin Corporation adopted a series of initiatives on street furnishings late last year. The new policy, which was recently publicised through a series of newspaper advertisements about the licensing of such furniture, aims to ensure that in future all street items are "elegant but robust. . . functional and contemporary, where appropriate" and, very importantly, required "minimum maintenance while retaining a distinct character, identifiable with the City of Dublin."
