Dublin Corporation is preparing 36 compulsory purchase orders for lands and buildings in a determined drive to rid the capital of dereliction. The local authority is currently compulsorily acquiring all lands and sites within the county borough where such properties have been left derelict despite having significant development potential, Dublin Corporation economic development officer Alan Taylor explained. The Corporation is, however, first affording the owners of such properties an opportunity to undertake redevelopment and offering professional advice through its economic development unit.
