Docks project to go ahead without planning permission
Minister Noel Dempsey has given the Dublin dockland's authority the power to approve developments without planning permission on a key 100-acre site recently at the centre of a decontamination controversy. Under the scheme approved by the minister, if a proposed development complies with the Dublin Docklands Development Authority (DDDA) requirements and gets the go-ahead, there can be no appeal to An Bord Pleanala.
