An Irish architecture firm has been hired to redraw plans for Spencer Dock, the controversial 50-acre development in Dublin's docklands. The decision means that Kevin Roche, the 78-year-old America-based Irish architect, has been replaced as the designer of the £1.2 billion project. A spokesman for Treasury Holdings, the developers, confirmed last week that Scott Tallon Walker had been appointed to draw up a new masterplan for the scheme, which includes a national conference centre, offices, hotels, apartments and shops. The new design is expected to be submitted by the end of the year.
