Luas plans threaten slick transformation
The intelligent renovation of Connolly Station will be severely compromised by CIÉ's revised plan to demolish its ramp for a Luas terminus. Anyone using the Connolly Station these days must surely marvel at its slick transformation from the gloom of its recent past. The pointed canopy projecting out over the ramp that leads up from the junction of Amiens Street and Store Street is a mascot for what lies inside - a bright, airy concourse, sealed from draughts by planar glazing mounted on a structure of tubular steel.
