Archer's garage, the List 1 building illegally demolished during a bank holiday weekend last year, is to be rebuilt.. Noel O'Callaghan of Sherborough Securities, the garage owner, had signed a legal agreement with the corporation to reinstate the premises to its former condition, with work to begin no later than September 1, 1999. Since that the site has lain idle. Last week, Dublin corporation revealed that O'Callaghan would reinstate Archer's garage by May 2001.
