One of Munster's oldest covered shopping arcades, Winthrop Arcade, built in 1919, has just received a 500,000 face lift.Located off Patrick Street in Cork, renovations to the structure should guaranteed the distinctive mock Tudor appearance of the building for at least another two to three decades.The original polished brass shop fronts with stained mahogany doors remain intact and the Arcade is now finished with new cream limestone floor tiling.
