Railway stations on this line to Belfast (Dublin Connolly, Malahide, Drogheda, Dundalk) are of a high quality with good quality ironwork and brick buildings. Skerries is no different. Like Malahide it also has a good quality station master's house although in Skerries it is much altered.

There are some interesting pieces of railway architecture around the station including a Signal Box and shed. Both are unfortunetly falling into disrepair.
